If "fun" were a musical genre, DC Flow would be the headliners.
A self-described original disco rock band, DC Flow's high energy and off-the-cuff live show has made audiences from DC to Baltimore to New York City ‘just wanna dance’.
Since its birth in 2011, the band has played at some of the premiere live music venues in the DC area including DC9, Velvet Lounge, the Warner Theater, Sonar, Jammin Java, and many others.
Combining the raw funk rock of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the dance kitsch of the Scissor Sisters, the poppy hooks of Bruno Mars channeled through the essence of David Lee Roth, DC Flow has a style all its own.
With a mesmerizing stage presence, the bands dynamic lead singer (Chad) has previously opened for such national acts as the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Funkadelic, Fishbone, and Frank Black among many others.
DC Flow’s eclectic debut EP, recorded with DC indie rock legend J Robbins, is now available on iTunes. The band was recently selected by Converse to record for their Rubber Tracks program. This past year the band also recorded with the legendary Don Zientara (Foo Fighters, Fugazi, Bad Brains, Minor Threat) and is currently finishing a follow-up EP with Grammy award winning sound engineer Geoff Sanoff (Green Day, Michael Stipe, Elvis Costello).
